Alquimi Renewables, LLC and its EPC division Clarusys have engineered and patented the first commercial scale hurricane resistant greenhouse structures able to withstand Cat4 wind loads up to 156mph. This advancement in greenhouse resilience now allows us to increase agricultural development in high risk climate regions including the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Pacific Basin for the first time in history. These regions import over 80% of their fresh produce requirements. Our commercial greenhouse operations are designed to operate completely off the grid using the latest in solar or biomass/waste based CCHP cogeneration to power our state-of-the-art hydroponic growing systems.
Solar Energy Generation
Our standard 620,000 sf commercial greenhouse operational model needs a lot of power. Through our proprietary 5MW roof mount solar system and integrated storage systems we generate 1.6MW of power for all our operational needs.
Waste to Energy
Alquimi has integrated a complete biomass and waste processing based system which converts the waste stream to energy through an advanced technology in gasification and CCHP cogeneration. This produces both cooling and electrical energy for our greenhouse operations with the added benefit of cleaning up the island environments.
Hydroponic Growing Systems
We partner with some of the world's leading technologies in hydroponic, aeroponic, and aquaponic growing systems, as well as specialists in greenhouse environmental control systems to ensure maximum plant yields from our operations.
